Hi all
I'm currently in the early planing stages to fit an under stairs toilet (outside wall on left side of house is stairs) and after speaking to building regs my initial thoughts of laying an underground pipe on the left into the sewer may be problematic as it is a shared sewer and will need to involve the local water company and using a drop inside the manhole could be a problem.
The manhole is also quite deep at around 3.5 meters. The existing soil stack for the upstairs bathroom comes down inside the house behind some wooded boxing as shown on the diagram as a red box to the right of the front door the problem being I do not know how far down the pipe goes down under the house before it bends to go into the sewer (would it bend at manhole level or likely come out from the house first and then bend down), as I thought about connecting directly into the existing soil pipe to alleviate the shared sewer concerns.
Can anyone recommend ideas that I may not have thought of, it needs to be fully compliant with building regs etc as I plan on selling the property afterwards.
