Making/adapting exhaust system to fit?

Amy independent tyre and exhaust place should be able to sort you out. Just go in, ask for the exhaust to be repaired and let them worry about it. Don't start telling them that you're having trouble getting it sorted as that will just Jack up the price!

What sort of Daihatsu? There are loads of exhausts on ebay.

According to Wikidata it is also known as a Toyota Sparky, Daihatsu Hijet Grancargo and Daihatsu Extol.

UPDATE - I took this in to a local garage and they fixed it. They brazed a sleeve on. Thanks for all the help on this forum. (I also have the whole exhaust system saved on my ebay list, just in case for next time)

I dont know anything about brazing. How hot would your flame/metal have to be to do this and what solder/brazing material would you use? (and what flux?). I might have a go myself if I need to patch an exhaust in future

You’ll only succeed with brazing if you have oxy acetylene gear, Freddy.....nothing else gets hot enough but MIG welding is good too.
If you can get the gear, use brass brazing spelter and Sifbronze flux that’s pink in colour. The metal needs to be orange hot!
