The bottom line is mma fighters drop their boxing opponents to the ground when they realise their own inferiority and then everything changes.
Which is why smaller guys get into the ring with the big guys and know the big guy is not that formidable when he is down and being choked.
The old adage "The bigger they are ,the harder they fall" comes to mind.
On the ground its not a fight anymore but just a ridiculous struggle to see who can boa constrict the other opponent and gain the hollow victory.
mma fighters allowed to kick and punch will always come off second best to boxers skilled and honed at their art landing big punches on their chins.

To the untrained eye it may look like a ridiculous struggle but there is a huge amount of skill involved.
Most of the techniques are wrestling or Brazilian jiu jitsu. One wrong move and its over.
