Most inaccurate post?

The price of oil will fluctuate, but over a period of time will only ever rise....
So it will fluctuate (go up and down) but it will never go down

A bit like house prices that only ever rise

Interested to see who's made outrageous claims which have subsequently proven to be false ....

Let's start with Joe-90:
One day I'll actually get through to you. The markets are crashing as the basic raw material that it runs on has gone up 6 fold in as many years ... The market won't go up until oil prices drop - and that will be never.

News today:
Oil prices plunged below $130 a barrel on Thursday, a fall that helped lift Wall Street out of bear market territory.

Brilliant!

Congratulations MW

It's like I keep telling you Joe ... NEVER is a daft word to use when making claims about things which may or may not happen.

And, if you do use it, someone will find the case which proves you wrong.

If you'd said "it's likely that oil prices year on year will always rise" I doubt anyone would disagree.

But "oil prices will never go down" just leaves you floating in the air waiting to get shot down and proved wrong.

Take a tip from the politicians ... Never isn't in their vocabulary

Yes it is. They will never give us the vote on Europe. They will never give up their expenses.

That's poor grammar. You will mean "will you EVER learn".

That's correct ... Thank you Joe.

I will NEVER do that again ... or ... I won't EVER do that again.

Happy now

I never thought I'd say this...

Basically Joe you need to be more pedantic

Rather than stating the price of oil will never go down - you should have said that the average price of oil over the years will continue to increase.

However when oil becomes economically unviable as a wholesale fuel source the price could well slump based on a reduced need due to other fuel/energy sources taking over be it fusion, room temp superconductors, solar, hot air... whatever

There are stabilisers in that are not readily visible however - e.g. a VERY large oilfield in the southern hemisphere - it's location and geology currently makes it not economically viable but that will change as the price of oil continues to rise.

What is also very much a determining factor is the amount of oil being pumped from the middle east - the price is being kept high by OPEC in the same way DeBeers maintain the price of diamonds.

I do not waste my life worrying about £'s ... I pay others to do it for me ... And they are VERY good at it.

That's care in the community for you.

So do I MW! And I live in a council house Joe-90. So... I have less of a opinion because of that eh? I will go to bed quite happy with my lot (he wont) and wake up after spending a night with my wife.

I will never ignore you Joe as a bad as life gets, you remind me that as bad as it gets....I'M NOT YOU.

BRING ON THE DOOM AND GLOOM. I have 3 kids who laugh at you now.

YOUR QUITE AN ENIGMA
