MS Phone Link, is supposed to allow me to make, answer calls, plus send and receive SMS texts, using Bluetooth, to connect to my Iphone. It works, apart from for SMS part....

It lets me pick a recipient, type the message, click send, but then says it has failed, and offers to resend. In the early versions, when PL first appeared, it successfully worked for SMS too. Anyone got any idea what might be wrong?

I hate trying to type on the phone, I much prefer sending texts using the PC.

RCS is the replacement for SMS and in many cases will be enabled and used by default.

Android phones have had it for years. Apple has added it more recently.

It's not supported by Windows Phone Link except in a few very limited situations.

The limitations of Phone Link drive me mad. I'd love to shake the developers until their brains rattle and ask them why they thought nobody would ever want to message someone new. Or a contact they hadn't messaged for 2-3 weeks.

But I'd rather have it than not.
