I've just read two threads in rapid succession.
In the first one, two 'Asian or black' men were reported to have threatened two young girls with beheading because they were Army cadets.
In the second one, a Gypsy family have heard suggestions that their deceased relative may have to be dug up from his grave because of muslim objections.
In both cases, it didn't take long for our resident apologists to jump up and down claiming that neither case had any basis in fact which, admittedly, is true. We shall, of course, have to wait and see what transpires. In the first case, police are seeking the two men who made threats; in the second case, someone will have to decide on whether or not the deceased will be exhumed.
I think it will be very interesting to see whether our apologists are forced to eat their words!
I'm afraid that, by the time the outcomes are known, I'll have forgotten all about them due to the suspected rapid onset of Alzheimers. I hope that someone else on here remembers to bring the matter up again.

Can't possibly be conjecture. Burbage Parish Council have already called (and had) an extraordinary council meeting about this (behind closed doors though, so I'll put forward the conjecture that the parish councillors are bricking themselves)

The burial ground is supposed to be open to all faiths and denominations.
So if someone makes a complaint then hand them the shovel to move their relatives remains.

So you're ruling out the possibility that the I-phobes might be wrong and might have to apologise. Interesting

I think it's a fair bet (conjecture) that the parish council won't be asking the Muslim family to dig up father and move him. You tell me the "amicable agreement" that can be reached.

I see that the council asked the Romany family if they could buy one of the plots back, several days before the feller was buried.
Fair point. I suppose it is possible that the plots bought by the roma family might have been pencilled in under a gentleman's agreement and the complaint is more about the reneging of the deal. Dunno.

I wish the op had not dug up this news story he should have let sleeping dogs lie. I now have some very grave concerns regarding this matter.
You forgot to add this part....
"The grave was already being dug and bricked out when we had a call last Monday at 5.45pm from Julie Perrin at the parish council asking us if we could move plots."
Why wasn't the muslim family told to move plots?
