These MP valves are very ingenious but devilishly cunning when it comes to fault finding.
If HW only selected then irrespective of the valve position (stuck etc) or internal switches then one might still expect the boiler to fire as 240v is applied via "HW ON" and the Cylstat if calling, to the boiler, if no boiler fault then maybe faulty HW ON contacts or cylstat?
