My highest ever Ze

It is meaty stuff. I can't remember how big (I have a sieve like a brain) but the ENWL guy I talked to about it recently said it is plenty big enough.

And the roll springs are great once installed correctly. Excellent continuity.

Had a dodgy clamp on a TN-S sheath once - ENWL came to it, tightened it up, got it down to 0.8 but was not happy with it so put a spring on it. Got the Ze down to 0.08.... ;)

Got our TT earth down from, well, probably infinity seeing as the last clown living at the property disabled the earth to 7 ohms, this was after I had installed around 50m of earthed trunking through the property and had installed another earth spike for our attached granny annexe (which is linked to the main house earth via the supply cable.

Scary to think even 7 ohms is still not enough to blow the service fuse if the supply is grounded to earth.

Would be interested in some info on this Green and yellow "Tape" I have seen used recently. What CSA is it, how was it attached to the incoming cable

I had a look at some in stores today, no size on the lable but I would guess 10 - 16 mm2

I was working on that the screws in the earth block stuck out further on the braiding than they did on the 10mm² earth supplying the CU.

Managed to beat my own record yesterday for a high Ze

TN-S supply again

Excellent stuff, though your Alphatek may be showing a dodgy reading as it's low on battery.

EDIT: No, my mistake, it's halfway....

Dont like Metrel testers myself prefer Fluke or Megger.
Highest Ze ive had on a DNO supply streetlighting column TN-S was 18 ohms.

Had a infinity reading this week - which was odd as the main distribution panel and a 2Mva 11Kv transformer where behind me.....

On closer inspection the ****** had been in and nicked the main earth rail and cut off most of the earthing and the earth to neutral interconnection. I use the term ***** but I think this was done by someone with some knowledge?
