Hi, I'm new here and completely inexperienced with roofing.
I want to build a cold, slightly pitched flat roof over my garage, which is 6.5m x 5.4m. The pitch will run along the 6.5m side, and the joists will span the 5.4m width. I'm planning to use C24 47x200mm or 8x2 joists (5.4m long) at 400mm centers.
Do you think these joists can support a light metal sheet roof, 0.9mm OSB boards, a wide garage door, and occasional snow? I'm limited to 200mm deep timber. Would doubling some joists help, or should I consider different timber?
Any advice would be appreciated!
