new boiler

F.A.O any decent boiler fitter, after my ravenheat packed in on saturday i got a corgi plumber, he said by the time i payed for all the parts it would be as cheap to buy a new boiler,so of i went,£575 later they started the job which was taking 3 year old ravenheat off and fitting new ideal isa24 he on to exsiting pipe work flu hole is already there my question is how long should this take?(2 men)

One suggestion is to get another Ravenheat 85CSI (less than £360 + vat in some merchants) this probably uses the same pipe conections, flue and condensate connection as whats already in. (a, use your lateral thinking, emoticon)

Ad some X400 to the system water, plumb in a magnaclean to the central heating return pipe.

Compleatly drain about a week later, refill and add X100.

Oh and dont forget to ask the installer to register the three year warentee with the manufacturer.

Tim

PS Time, a day and a half including the return visit.

PPS sorry juty realised my advice is a bit to late.

Average time for changing a boiler with small local pipework alterations why do you ask?.
just wondering what make of boilers you install that make it so quick.
if 4 hours is average, i wonder how fast you can do a quick change; you must have been in the game for a long time.
