New CU installed, right type RCBO for EV?

there are three empty slots, and he said he needed to get one more, (his brother back and forth to some supplier during the day to get different amp/way fittings, and a larger set of the plastic entry things to the CU box... maybe ran out of time... and it was about 6pm when they left/ dark... no other reason really they gave tbh... if your in East Kent anyone near Dover and want a job next week i might reply if he does not respond...as cant leave it like this clearly... he did reply few times on whatsapp then radio silent for c10 days

Many things wrong here.

Leaving a consumer unit with holes in the front is totally unacceptable as there are live parts just inside which will kill people if touched.
Even if the specific blanks were unavailable, any blank fitted in there would be far better than nothing. Inexcusable for any electrician to not have a few spare blanks of some kind in their toolbox or van.
If the matching blanks are already there but not fitted, what exactly was the installers problem - installation of them would have taken literally seconds as the cover would already have been removed for installing the other devices.

Many EVSEs can be supplied from a Type A RCBO, but it does need to have a switched neutral. The one provided has a solid neutral so is not suitable.

Maybe get someone else to finish it and if he comes back pay him for what he did, from what we can see (apart from the missing blanks) the job looks ok.

ok all i think ill wait as said until end of day tomorrow/ of maybe Monday (consumer unit has a cover, and on top is in a boxed off area... no reply fm him then, ill as i told him on voicemail phone another person.

ill come back on monday and say what i did next.

I've never fitted an EV charger, but doesn't the zappi have the rcd built in? And can maybe be fed from an MCB...maybe?

r, but doesn't the zappi have the rcd built in?
It has a kind of RCD equivalent device in it, however that device does not comply with BSEN61008 or any of the other standards applicable to RCDs, RCBOs and the like.
Same applies to most other EVSEs with their 'built in' RCDs.

... myerngi guys replied to my support ticket top say someone now assigend...so hopefully on monday ill update on what they say too

Arr ok that makes sense

These are the two blank things, push fit? They look to me like I'd have to unscrew stuff?

And ordered some blanks from Screwfix as closer than Toolstation. Your right it would taken seconds to have at least fitted the first two blanks... And, no reply yet from the guy

? My original query was is this EV install correctly done... So far replies here say no, wrong way fitted, and I would rather sort this out now than find I have no warranty with them

Update all...guy came back after saying not paying..., changed the EV item rcbo, put in the empty blanks, and now provided some certificate documents, under new company name to the one he invoiced on. Not paid anything yet as waiting for EV DNO registration proof.
