New Year Honours list

All missing the issue though.

There are lots here, more still arriving.

What to do? Ignore them and shout at the clouds? Or adult action
Don't let them in.
Or once in illegally send them back.
Or, if they've discarded their passport, keep them in jail until they remember where they're from and who they are.
Genuine asylum seekers from troubled countries should go through the process to be integrated.
Not before being grilled about why on earth they crossed several safe countries and paid lots of money to people smugglers to get here.
Also, asylum seekers should be allowed to work and only given benefits for a short time to make them settle.
That should include women who in some cultures are not allowed to work.
Once given permission to stay, they should fend for themselves like the rest of us.
Unless they're genuinely disabled AND unable to work, of course
They must integrate or sent back to their beloved regime.

Don't let them in.
How
Or once in illegally send them back.
Process them, yes
Or, if they've discarded their passport, keep them in jail until they remember where they're from and who they are
A proper system would encourage them to keep documents
Genuine asylum seekers from troubled countries should go through the process to be integrated.
What integration process ?
Not before being grilled about why on earth they crossed several safe countries and paid lots of money to people smugglers to get here.
Irrelevant. Either they qualify to be here, or they dont
Also, asylum seekers should be allowed to work and only given benefits for a short time to make them settle.
That should include women who in some cultures are not allowed to work.

Once given permission to stay, they should fend for themselves like the rest of us.
I'm sure most would
Unless they're genuinely disabled AND unable to work, of course
Agreed
They must integrate or sent back to their beloved regime.
That they've often escaped from because it's not beloved.

See, it needs adults to get on top of

I see hotels are going through a hard time, and cutting prices to try to attract punters

"Franck Arnold, managing director at the Savoy, said the five-star hotel had been forced to bring its daily rate below £1,000 in 2024 after suffering a 5 percentage point decline in occupancy in the first quarter."
