New Year, New Resolution - Acceptable topics for GD

So you are complaining about him bringing religious bs to a thread that had nothing to do with religion by bringing it to the attention of people who were discussing food and generally being lighthearted?

Nice one.

No I'm complaining about him (and others) doing so, in this thread which is about acceptable topics for GD, hence appropriate.
Why not make your complaint to the mods and stop posting your bile on here. It's boring and rather annoying.

I find the bile from you and others rather boring.

Strange. Everyone speaks so highly of you.

That is because when someone posts hate filled bigotry in this forum I object. They don't like that do they.

Well I recently chopped my elderly VW T5 for a Transit custom. I'd had the VW from new and it has given me more than it's fair share of issues over the years but it was always very nice to drive with lots of power... The Custom although doesn't feel as solidly built has gone past the point of when the VW fist gave trouble.

The Ford does come with lots of toys and has several nice touches, one is the hatch under the passenger seat which allows 3meter lengths of pipe to be transported in a short wheel base van. another is the pop up roof rack so that if you do need to shift anything longer you can and when not in use folds down to keep wind noise down... Given that the Ford has a lot less power however fuel economy is not brilliant round town averaging 34mpg but when driven carfully on a run I have managed 47mpg. Driving position and seating is very good and is just as good as the VW and the heated screen works a treat as do the heated seats though I don't think that the fabric is as resilient. To be fair, although modern vans have lots of gadgets, these gadgets will give issues in years to come, so be careful if buying second hand.

Snap,

We were using T5's for our engineers and they had consistent issues.
Now they have done their time, we swapped over to the new transits as well. Engineers way prefer them.

A worthwhile modification for any van is to remove the comedy lights in the rear and replace them with a 1000mm LED light tube... One is enough but I have fitted two...

Shame. He seemed a little obsessive but harmless enough and surely entitled to air his view? I don't honestly remember anyone on here genuinely inciting hatred or violence. Just banter from owners of different viewpoints. It's a shame to see freedom of speech choked.

Anyway. Anyone had good experiences with the Combo cdti's??

No but just had a slice of Christmas cake which was lovely. Reduced to £1.99 at Sainsburys.
Saw an advert for "one year aged Christmas pudding", the other day. £10.

I suppose you could buy one, and a normal cheap one. Eat the posh one, and bung the cheap one into the back of the cupboard, hoping to remember it in twelve months' time.

I couldn't be @rsed, truth be told.

Our friend bought the Sainsburys 18 month age xmas pud for £8 - quite nice it was too
