There's still a serious discrepancy between the presented article, and the traffic managment changes.
The article refers to the A394 at LongDowns, the traffic management changes refer to other roads, not the A394 in Mabe.
The roads listed in the Mabe Parish council news are not the A394. The camera vandalised in the article is on the A394, and not in Mabe.

Furthermore, the plans have been in the pipeline for about 10 years, and there have been multiple traffic calming measures installed.
Motorists have still not twigged that the speed limit has changed?
Moreover, 700 motorists fined in first week and only 1200 in the year shows how effective speeding pemalties are.

The thread was about speed cameras being vandalised, there had been no mention about uninsured vehicles. That was introduced by you, in the same 'breath' as Noseall's name in order to make the connection in the readers mind.

Because clever speed cameras can do nothing to catch unregistered vehicles and uninsured drivers. Such drivers cause many more accidents than the odd person doing 36mph in a 30. that used to be a 40.

You can also use google maps to see when the first speed camera was installed (a gatso) the speed limit was 40mph.

You can also see that they did not properly change the limit from 40mph to 30mph. Though it's hard to measure the distances with google maps. It very much looks like the street lights on the west bound carriage way are and have always been more than 183m apart. That is a problem if you want to enforce the limit on "speeding drivers" going west, with the new camera. The 30mph repeater signs are non-compliant and the road does not meet the definition of a restricted road, if there are no street lights less 183m apart.

Though a bigger problem is the camera has been "deinstalled".
