Because he won’t answer the phone ever since it happened, I’ve left loads of messages but had no replies!

He's obviously trying to avoid dealing with the issue he has caused...

Try ringing from someone else's phone number, as if you might be a new customer. Try ringing from your own number, but dial 141 as a prefix, before dialling his number - that will hide your phone number, it will show on his phone as 'unknown caller'.

Some people do that. They claim it's to avoid awkward customers

Which is one way of describing a customer with a valid unresolved complaint.

Is he on the online advertising sites, like chequeurtrade? You could leave a review.
