No fireworks please!!!!

One of our two cats is under the bed, the other is sitting in the window quite enjoying them.

There seem to be more than usual tonight, probably a combination of nice weather, and the fact all the big displays have been cancelled this year.
Fowey Regatta, Charlestown regatta, Mevagissey feast week, all have quite spectacular displays.

Strangely I have only seen a few fireworks going off on the council estate near work when I left at around 6.30 tonight. Usually there are fireworks going off somewhere most nights for about 2 weeks before the 5th.

Must admit, I feel sorry for pet owners when they are going off but I feel it even more for any ex-military members who have seen frontline action and are now forced to live on the streets.

The only thing I really wish is that they were kept to the one night then at least pet owners are prepared. It's the unexpected displays by a neighbour on a random day near(ish) Nov 5th that annoy me as a pet owner.

While my Akita is hiding beside the sofa, not eating, not going out for a pee etc.
The GSD who normally looks at fireworks, goes "oh nice" then carries on rushing towards the park now will not go out either.
While the GSD will be out again in the morning, the akita will take a few weeks if not months to get her going out in the evenings again.

Ex military should never end up on the streets
Something I have never, ever understood.
The Govt. are quite happy to take these young strong fit people to support our country but when it comes to them hitting civvy street, where's their support?
It's an absolute disgrace that they have to rely on charity.

While I have some sympathy with dog owners, we have to put up with barking and howling mutts followed by the owners shouting "quiet rover" 365 days a year
And don't forget that when their 'precious pet' jumps at you in street the excuse is always 'it's just being friendly'...

And they then get offended when the reply is two words long!

The government are happy to treat them as they always have done for centuries...

Cannon fodder!

And they also make sure that the general population is indoctrinated to believe that all homeless people are drink/drug taking scum...

That goes for all political parties, lest the said indoctrinated misunderstand!
