Noisy flaps

Hmmm

Fitted a Verplas "Stainless Steel Wall Outlet Gravity Flaps 150mm" for the new cooker hood. That's an awful pic, its a lovely shiny stainless steel. Wifey didn't want plastic.

Anyway - useless. Whatever setting the fan is on makes it clink loudly as the flaps open and close. Sounds like loose change in a cement mixer.

Can anyone suggest/ recommend a stainless steel one that is silent?

Disappointed, with that thread title I was hoping for something more interesting.

Don’t think those flap vent things are ever silent, I got rid of one that had noisy flaps all night when the wind blew. So to speak.
