We had a couple of Northerners down here for the new year and boy could they drink!. But they simply could not keep up with us!. Just goes to prove that Northern beer is not as good as Southern beer!.

We have better things to do than sit in a pub drinking all day :p

yet to meet a southerner who can handle his ale
Ditto.

And not just in the uk, either. Used to work in California and the only ones who could handle their beer were the relocated New Yorkers and Canadians!

I live in the Midlands and so have the best/worst of N&S. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

PS I went to my older brother's wedding in Abingdon, and many of his friends thought we lived "Up North" (even though it was less than 80 miles away) ;) ;)

Southern softies I say....a couple of shandys and they are history....as for the women i thought waynetta was a southern model :D

Also.....

Having worked with both, Southerners are always more friendly and happy.
Northerners tend to hold a grudge against southerners for Northern deprivation.

Not our fault.

That's because Northerners are used to having a lot of head with their pints. ;)

It's even worse in Scotland. Couldn't get a decent pint of ale on the occasions I was there. Now I understand why they're all on the hard stuff.
