Norway Norway Norway

There has been a lot of talk about no deal, but I think its a red herring. There is never going to be a no deal - the damage to the economy means there arent enough mps who would vote for it.

You are assuming that politicians don't do stupid things that damage the country.

A rash assumption that has already been proved wrong.

No deal has never been a credible option, it is being used as a negotiating tactic.

A bit like asking a bloke who is about to be murdered "would you like to be crucified or burned alive".

Us remainiacs have more sense. We were content with things the way they were. Me personally - I think a clean break would be better.
Definately a clean break Brexshit....

At least we can then laugh at the brexshiteers squealing when the proverbial hits the fan (y)

But negotiating by whom with whom?

The EU is simply sticking to the rules, and the tory party are as usual ripping the UK apart!

Whatever terms we leave under, there is a 'deal'... WTO is a 'deal' (albeit a suicidal one).

But one thing is for sure. Regardless of the economic consequences of whatever 'deal' happens, millions of people will suffer!

Funny thing is, when I asked the Brextremists on here which of the available arrangements they wanted, none of them would say if they wanted the Norway option.

They still won't.

Must be because they read the description.

How about:

Vote to Leave the EU.

Don’t contribute to the EU budget.

Exchange free movement of people for access to the free market.

Sort out our own laws.

That’s what I thought Brexit would be.

...Don’t contribute to the EU budget... access to the free market.
The EU doesn't offer, and won't accept, that option. If you want access to the Single Market, you have to agree to follow the rules, and pay for access. Like Norway does. Like Switzerland does.

What a shame you didn't know.

BTW, as you now know, EU citizens are permitted to move between EU countries under defined rules, and can be sent back if they fail to comply.

What I actually said was:

Exchange free movement of people for access to the free market.

They are negotiating a deal, what I said has some give and some take so I can’t see why it couldn’t be done. If I were Norway or Switzerland I would be thinking the same.

You are right, I didn’t know about the rules but I do now.

You weren't aware that the EU says the Four Freedoms are indivisible. You can't have one without the others. This is a very clear "red line."

This isn't news to anyone in the European politics game, although some people, such as Buffoon, Gove and Farage, tried to tell us we could cherry pick and take the rights of membership without the obligations.

Tippex the red line and negotiate a dotted line ;)

Without a proper Leave procedure/plan in place there should have never been a referendum.
