I was lifting a carpet in my upstairs landing today and noticed two wires running along side bannister one wire was a telephone/music speaker wire the other a 3core .75mm/1mm electrical wire as I pulled it to see where it went I realised it was only about 1 meter long then before I knew it I got a shock off the wire and it tripped the upstairs plug sockets the other end came from inside the wall somewhere, I can't believe who lived there before me left a live cable under a carpet !
Not a question but your wouldn't believe this ?
