If you are now getting the required results leave the stats as they are. You will not upset the balancing of the system by turning of the TRVs. When you think of it, they turn their selves off when the room is warm enough.

1st two lockshields I have looked at are about 1+1/2 turns only so I guess they are all the same!
Not doing them till tmoz, got all day to do it then. So the key here seems to be to let the boiler,TRV's & stats do their job, heating on permanently so house reamins at preferred temp.
Going back to OP I have still got to check ball cock on header tank for hot water quantity. It should be 3/4 full was the verdict on that?
