As per my very first post in this thread.Mrs Secure can't understand why I get upset when "someone you don't know from Adam dies".
You're upset because you "knew" them through what they did, their books, films TV shows, music, contributions to the public etc...., and also when the people you "grew up" with die, it is a reminder that you're getting closer to being in that position yourself.
"…to mark the passing of those that have brought us fun, laughter, entertainment, sporting, music and other memories at some point in our lives".
