I think they started using the term 'actor' as a job description that applies to both sexes. After all, you don’t see 'doctoress's'. We don’t have air stewardess's nowdays either.

Former Welsh boxer Billy Waith, passed away on Sunday aged 71, Billy had 94 pro fights, he ran one of the pubs I used to visit and he was a top bloke and will be missed by many in South Wales.
