I met Eusebio once. No, really. When Benfica played Derby County in the European Cup in 1973 he was in Ranby's of all places. I was just a lad and he looked huge; towering over me but his smile was so friendly. Got his autograph and a handshake. The closest modern player to him i can think of would be Brazilian Ronaldo: devastating speed and a powerful shot, difficult to knock off the ball, good in the air. A complete striker.
Pele was better, though. Three World Cup winners medals will never be beaten.
