But there were police there, and they dealt with it. This is why it was not a major news story.

It's always been the case that the majority of people don't commit any crime. When I say that, I'm excluding things like minor speeding offences dealt with by way of FPNs.

The police have to spread their resources across those who do.

I believe that the disappearance of "the Bobby on the beat" has had a large negative impact on crime.

In the same way that the almost complete disappearance of "jam sandwiches" from our Mways has led to an increase in idiotic driving.

Yes, there are speed traps, but they don't catch DWDC type offences.

And nobody is afraid of the highway patrols.

Why should the lack of police be the cause of crime? In a perfect world we wouldn’t need any. It’s the criminals that need punishing.
How many police does it take to deter your family and friends from committing crime?
Hmm. Nothing yet from IT Minion and JohnD. Perhaps they are still counting?

I can't find any reports of shops being ransacked. Only of people planning to gather, and the police being ready.

As for the certain demographic, the videos clearly show white people joining in too.

Do you see the video of the convenience store owner beating off would-be looters? Can you point out the white people joining in.

It amazes me that the BBC caption on that video clip states that they were 'allegedly' trying to steal things! What else could they be doing - fighting to get in to buy a can of drink? FFS.

Suella telling the police to do their job again.
Why is that necessary?

Beating off looters sounds like a very friendly way to prevent a riot.:sneaky:
It’s the only way.
Whoops, just realised what you meant!

Cobblers.
Probably none of those in the crowd either.

We get it, your post was just another attempt to blame everything on black people whilst trying desperately to avoid doing it openly.

Also pointing out you're talking **** isn't my day job, be more patient when you're asking for favours.

That stupid t w a t was there who thinks it's funny to do stuff like walking into the houses of complete strangers unannounced ... cause it's funny, innit!

Maybe one day he'll walk into the house of the wrong person ...

For all the good social media can do, it doesn't half encourage a lot of the guff we see going on these days e.g. the other t w a t who thought it was funny to throw a high kick into the chest of an innocent shop worker, causing her to crash to the floor. Cause it's funny, innit!
