Pair Wall Lights - Switch has 3 sets of Wires

i was actually talking to you....
OK.

So if, hypothetically, I said "none", what would you then say?

by asking to qualify his answers with qualifications is not attacking...
Indeed not.

What was the reason for you asking, OOI?

how can you have a field of expertice with no qualifications....
Quite easily.

So if, hypothetically, I had said "none" would you be able, without resorting to any ad hominem fallacies, be able to show that my expertise is not sufficient to deal with the OP's question?

ask yourself this.. who sets the qualifications?

they must be experts in their field but as they are the ones coming up with the qualification they can't have it until it's set surely?

well done on ruining a thread with absolutly no beneficial comments

It is quite clear to see that bas is trying to accertain that the OP has got a proper light switch or maybe had a 20A DP switch if it has 'N' terminals.

Oh I think it would take more than that to ruin a thread - you're attaching far too much importance to him.

And anyway - I'm sure he thought that it was in the best interests of the forum to do what he did, and when he returns he'll be able to provide a cogent and believable explanation as to why.

and who gave you the right to quantify rights on a forum....

how can you have a field of expertice with no qualifications....

does your post count make you a better or more qualified person or maybe it makes you feel it....

And do you work for the UN as a peacekeeper or are you just an average effluent stirrer ?

BAS might be different things to different folk, but dumb he most certainly isn't. So he chooses to read and apply his learning's and that deserves a dig ?
Side by side I wager he'd slaughter you in a random quiz of 100 questions on electrical theory, application and the big bad book.

So give us a hint, what's your skill set- civils and cable pulling

One of the lads I work with has been right through college and is a fully qualified electrician on paper.

He can perfectly competently carry out the specialist work that the company I work for does, but AFAIK, he has never done a single days work in a domestic property in his life, and he rarely even leaves our workshop. He wouldn't have the first clue how to solve the OPs problem and would readily admit that.

Qualifications mean nothing in this industry.

I'd sooner have BAS come round and repair a fault on my lights at home, than I would the fully qualified electrician from work.
