also the 7671 is 300 pages long.. bit much to remeber off by heart dont you think...???

You'll need good knowledge of BS7671 along with GN3, GS38, EAWR etc if you ever wish to take the 2391 which is a closed book exam :eek:
The 2381 is an open book multiple choice computer exam.

The Part P exams give you something like two minutes to answer each simple multiple choice question. Very generous and plenty of time to read the books.

As for 2381 it's a test on your ability to read an index in a book and find the right answer


yes, quite correct....
if you are a "non-electrician" you have to sign an EIC for "design" and must use the maximum cable lengths given at around p40 of the OSG. these lengths are given to enable the "less than competent" to be, in the niceic's eyes "competent"
