Going by some of the posters on here it seems they havn't accepted or embraced the reality of present day in that the barriers of borders of countries are coming down and we are becoming a multi cultural world, this is what modern day travel, politics has achieved, it's best to accept that things will not change back and better to accept that being british (whatever that means?) covers a multitude of cultures and races. those that hang onto the premise that britain is for the british is well...living in the past.
The world is for sharing with your brothers and sisters not for keeping it to oneself!

Merry christmas and a happy new year to all!

You cant even give us an example of where it has worked cause there isnt one in the whole of the Earth's history.
History:
counties in England became England, counties in Wales, became Wales, counties in Scotland became Scotland etc.
England, Wales, Scotland etc became Great britain

Countships in the lowlands became The Netherlands

separate parts of Germany (Bavarian, Ruhr, Elzas etc) became West-Germany.

Need any more examples?

Name me someone who shares much of any use with us then??
Or do you actually think that we are so superior that we should not expect to recieve, only to give?
That second sentence should give you food for thought....
:D :D

Sorry Freddie, you've mist the point in the little history lesson. You ask the give a example where in Earth history counties had come together and are able to live together. Countries were counties first, counties were small settlements first etc. etc. etc.
History is closer by then you think or want to know and has this notion of repeating itself :)

No Freddie, that was not want I meant. I;m not talking about colonies, I'm talking about tribes, counties, countries settling themselves into one.
As per your asked question for examples.

And it wasn't a joke :D

If everyone in the world shared everything and we all became one. We'd all live in abject poverty faced with starvation and disease.

I suggest that Kendor sell his house and give it to the 6 million African children that will die this year. Think about it? A holocaust every year. Year in year out and yet Kendor lives in luxury and keeps what belongs to Kendor very safe.

A load of cobblers.

BTW, patriotism means putting your race above all others - and that is racism.

What does that make patriotic Catholic Germans fighting patriotic Catholic Frenchmen? Just to name a little example?

To put your race above all others means you believe your race superior.

Racism means: The prejudice that members of one race are intrinsically superior to members of other races.

Gedditt?

Oh yes, I've got that. But your wrong in stating patriotisme is the same as racism, hence my question.
