Supporting the idea of a united Ireland is not the same thing as supporting terrorism.
Supporting a free Palestine is not the same thing as supporting terrorism.
It's just an easy way to smear and attack somebody.
Around the same time, the west, including America and the UK, supported the mujahideen, and later Taliban, in fighting the Soviet Union in the middle east. That must mean Great Britain and America are terrorist's friends too?
It is not as simple as that.
Corbyn has been supporting a “United Ireland” for probably most of his life (certainly as long as I can remember) but without explanation or facing realities.
It would be hilarious if he had to back up his view with how it all would work, including rights for ALL people.
Any honest, educated, decent person would have realised about the very real problems of the Roman Catholic Church in the whole of Ireland frankly not being a group who could be trusted or united with.
It is very easy to sit back for Corbyn and make one sided very narrow comments about how the world should be.
Has Corbyn ever mentioned that British people have been and still are discriminated in the whole of Ireland?
Has Corbyn given any support for terrorist groups on the British side - UVF or UDA, etc?
Has Corbyn ever condemned Gerry Adams for the Trojan horse policies that he admitted Sinn Fein were doing to cause discrimination against the Unionist people?
Why did Corbyn stand in silence for the 8 IRA terrorists who were shot dead in Loughgall on an attack on a police station, when he never stood in silence for the police murdered previous weeks at police stations?
Genuinely wanting a United Ireland is one thing, - a political twit supporting a United Ireland without knowledge and entirely during a murderous IRA campaign often supported from Dublin, is support for terrorism.
That would be similar to supporting Germany and Poland to be united from 1939 yet claiming not to be a Nazi supporter.
Ironically Corbyn was one of the people who actually encouraged the IRA by giving them political support and he therefore delayed the chance of any peace agreements and of uniting Ireland in any form.
Funny old thing this extreme left wing Marxist viewpoint where you support only certain groups and people, but not others.
Peoples rights, but only some people.
