As a matter of privacy I don't put my personal details on the camera. My friend was targeted by burglars after they found a photo on the net with his details in the exif file. he had alot of expensive equipment and they took the lot.

so take care if you have your details in the cam. you can lock the exif file, some editing programs do this as default, also lose it on the web in some cases.

Always use a software based Exif reader.

Thanks.

Some very good and important advice there peaps... I never thought you would but you're growing on me. ;)

Thanks again.

I'm an acquired taste  Very opinionated but that's life.

You would be surprised what people do to get hold of your stuff. It turned out he wrote often about his equipment on a forum, like many people do, and that was that.

Same has happened in the amateur radio world, people talk about what they have, join forums and talk about what they have and all it takes is for a thief to find your address and it's gone.

This is another good reason I like my privacy.

Please lets not descend into a slagging match lads. Susie has tried her best to launch threads that cater for crafts, arts etc. I understand that we've all got our opinions etc but lets TRY and keep things on course.

Thank you.

A night shot looking from my back door. Nice colours in the sky that night, was unable to catch the true story.

From a shoot my daughter attended. I would love to be able to take a shot with such clarity.

I didn't take this picture.

Just about copped this shot before it got too dark managed to get the water reflection in to add a little interest

now don't start confusing me...I took my little panasonic pocket camera up the field put it on macro and took the shot  :)

sunrise pic is lovely gremlin, I take a lot of sunrise /sunset pics and love them.
I do think it proves you can take great photos at any time....you just need an eye for a good scene.

I think we are lucky , I know down in Cornwall its was practically impossible not to take a decent picture the scenery is all there for you and it's the same up here where I live. Every way you look there is a photo op. great stuff.
