planning enforcement magistrates court summons (need urgent guidance)

Who ignores an enforcement order?

The OP seems sharp enough in his responses here so I doubt he's being naturally dim......he's chanced it and he's lost, yet he still thinks that there's a chance he can win.

A true scofflaw through and through!

I hate to seem harsh, but having read through this thread I kinda hope the OP DOES get the book thrown.....if he thinks he can get away with it, why not everyone else? 8K fine plus taking it down is not as bad as it might have been. Sorry OP

There are many far worse offences than an unlawful extension, and which receive far lighter penalties.

Here's the refused application:

You'll see (if you can be really bothered) that there's been two previous applications for two storey extension, both refused

I've lost all sympathy for the OP. They deserve the fine and they deserve the extension to be taken down and if they refuse then they deserve the council to take it down, put a charge on their property and spend a time at our Majesty pleasure!

The rules aren't difficult to stick to and people who continually break them don't deserve a place in our society.

If you look at the history then maybe you'd have a change of opinion. These people have been told time after time yet they've totally ignored everything and everybody and simply gone ahead and done what they wanted. The fine is a reflection of their inability to do what was repeatedly asked of them.

There's no information of a single storey extension being passed - it seems they've never had permission for any of the extension at all. The OP said it was just a small section of the 2nd storey that was causing the issue. Obviously not true. They also said it was for a bathroom for their elderly father who was ill - plans show additional bedrooms.

So lets build it anyway!

to give you a better idea ive added a few more pictures
They should suffer Capital Punishment for that soil/rainwater setup:sneaky:

Having had another look at the pictures I'm not 100% sure I have the right property (and I can't be bothered checking anymore). The refusal corresponds with the date the OP gave in another post.

Well we can wait and see. Doesn't change my opinion on the matter though!
