Morning all,

When using foam to stick plasterboard to the wall, how thick does the foam have to set between the plasterboard and the brick?

Taking into account the level the plasterboard must come to, i literally only have 1mm, maybe 2mm thickness remaining between the plasterboard and the brickwork (the plasterboard is to meet the thickness of the bonding next to it).

Use a few blobs of polymer mastic like Stixall for the grab along with the foam.
I've pushed board against bricks with no problem with foam.

Mine pushed away up to 5mm at top and bottom, even after leaving it the specified time before applying board to wall - I'd use no nails. (presumably your using 9.5mm board).

Is it expanding foam or just an adhesive? This plasterboard is to cover some pipes, id rather not have them covered in expanding foam of thats what it is.

Needs to be correct foam adhesive, adds nothing to depth as foam dissipates to a sticky liquid when pressed to wall.
