Last night, I went swimming, so was driving to the lake.

1930 - so broad daylight - Chav McScut (adorned with his Burberry check cap) riding his electric motorbike where the actual feg he fancied, including along the pavement where people were stepping out of a chippy, and some shops...........

Shame the tw@t didn't get turned to salsa under the wheels of a soddin' big truck, in my honest opinion.

No offence but they didn't have e-bikes back in the 1930's

Jokes aside, I said on here a few weeks back I was waiting at a junction to pull into the street leading to my house. A guy was coming the other way on a scrambler type bike, doing quite a speed, no helmet on, no protective gear. He pulled into the road I was waiting to enter (20 zone) and off he went, possibly accelerating up to 35-40ish by the looks of it.

Had a vehicle pulled out of a side street and hit him, causing serious injury or worse, who's at fault? Yes you can argue the driver of the vehicle, however I'd argue the bike rider would be equally if not more to blame.

They admitted to being behind them at some point. However, they were half a mile away when the boys fatally crashed.

The evidence is a blurry short video, in which the bike and police van are not in the same shot.

I'd hold fire on your assertion that this is proof of anything, anyone with no experience or specialist software could pretty easily edit together two videos from different times. I could make a video of Jesus walking through London with a timestamp of next week using a free website if I wanted to, the days of video being unquestionable evidence were lots of years ago now.

The police have re-asserted that the van wasn't there. It may be best to hold back and see what they say about the video, it's probably being examined frame-by-frame looking for the signs of edits.

They may also be able to get an injunction to get the original video directly from its source (e.g. Ring doorbells). This may take some time.

Isn't this just a case of two kids, d!cking about on a motorbike, playing games with the police and ending up under a bus. Very sad. But it's happened many, many times before.

So the boys two up on an E bike made for one ride through bollards where cars and vans cant go and crash whilst the police van is nowhere near them then muppets blame the police!

Afaik plod we’re half a mile away because they had to circumnavigate perm bollards in order to get back on the same road as the motor bike or whatvever it was

Plod wanted to follow them but didnt fancy the route the bikers took; on pavements, through red lights, down wrong way on one way streets, through peoples gardens, straight over roundabouts, over cats and dogs and finally through a supermarket!

Sadly though, these things are all but inevitable, if expecting the emergency services to get to scenes as quickly as possible.
