£5K...........You was robbed la!!!

Problem is it was not him who was robbed but every customer he ever went to.Customers believe (and maybe they should ask) that we are all fully trained, time served and fully qualified.

Ask yourself this RED_MAN if both you and me went to a job and the customer asked regarding our background and quals who would get the job. I fully bet it would not be you.

As Ideal states there are now 1000's of people like you classing themselves as engineers but cannot do half of what the apprentice trained guy could do.

I garantee that the heating job (Gravity Fed to S Plan including electrics) that only took me sixteen hours last week on my own including a power flush and 12 new TRV and Lock shields you would either still be looking at dumbfounded or would have walked off.

These mickey mouse courses are a complete waste of money, you'd learn more from a DIY book.

There's three things that are very important when learning a trade;
Experience, experience & experience!!!

Where have i said im out on the job on my own you presumptive idiot.

I'm still out on the job with a time served plumber. Fact is, im not a 16 year old kid.
I couldnt afford to go to college for 4 years... Im earning good money now and learning a hell of a lot. Im fully competant in all kind of systems... it may take me longer to do it on my own.. so what?

I leave every job i do working as the customer intended, with no leaks, and fully working heat and hot water.

the 6129 is a technical plumbing ticket level 2. It is not the proper full NVQ Level 2

What makes you think i dont know the difference between the NVQ and the C&G6129!?

I know exactly what the difference is, the 6129 is a prerequisite for the NVQ. the NVQ can be completed just as fast as the C&G itself.

Well then mate you have never left a job working, broke or otherwise as it will be your TIME SERVED mate who has signed it all off.
Or you are being left on jobs on your own were my initial point holds valid as the customer will beleive you are fully qualified which your not.
Hope i never touched a nerve raw stuff.

So how can you gain a NVQ2 & NVQ3 attending collage 1 day a week and working on site 4 days you twot. that is whats called a traditional apprenticeship.

Im as qualified as i lawfully need to be to work on the systems im left alone on... You guys are all the same.. you think because you've served your time then thats the ONLY way it can be done.

I, and plenty of others, am proof that if you work hard enough these courses can pay off.

We've all been to jobs where some cowboy has royally ****ed up... ive seen jobs where fellas who have been time served and had 20+ years experienice have caused £1000s work of damage because they havent used an insert on their pushfit and walked right off the job

All comboys arent just career changers. FACT... The construction, especially the plumbing industry, has had a fowl reputation for years, far before these intensive courses came on the scene. Explain that....

College* (Go back yourself?)

You dont need to go to college for one day a week and work for 4 days to complete and NVQ...

People will come out and sign off your work and in 3 visits they'll sign off your NVQ Level 2... similar process for your Level 3... aslong as you have the 6129's

The COMBOYS as you put it left years ago its COWBOYS like you i worry about, but hey you inadvertantly keep me in a job so keep plumbing kido.

We all know the reason you moan is because we're putting you out of work... not putting you in it...

I can assure you ya wont being called out by any of my customers :)
