The first time I sae women in full burkas, in a hotel, I found quite unnerving.
There is a mixed argument for bans on full face veils:
a burka is seen as oppression of women so a ban can be argued as a positive.
For anti terrorism of course.
A ban can also be argued as oppressing womens freedom in choosing what they want to wear......circular argument though.

Following the end of the Second World War we lived in a paradise (rationing poverty etc )still better than most countries in the world. Now we live in a multi cultural paradise where we discuss women with faces covered in hotels instead of chucking them out for offending European values

To restate . The law is about face covering in public. It does not state, with what. It does not pick on a certain set of people.
