Why on earth should I, religions of various forms have appointed themselves as guardians and custodians of what's right for thousands of years. Now, as the world moves on and outgrows the need for them they'll see soon enough how irrelevant they are.
Take popeye's current visit, the media keep telling us how many thousands went to see him. How many millions couldn't be rsed?

I'm a Liverpool supporter.
And yes, eventually they will outgrow the need for faith. It's inevitable though it may take a while.

Why do people rely on faith so much then ? Have they no belief in themselves, so guidance and enlightenment needs to be sought from above? Do they have so little to be content with, and so much to be saddened by, that they will pray for help / forgiveness / whatever ?
