Hi all
I'm wanting to balance my radiators but stumbling on the first hurdle. Hopefully someone can help. Bit of background information first.
I have an Intergas HRE 36/40 Combi. It's controlled by a Honeywell Lyric T6 using Opentherm. The boiler CH temp is set to 65C. I don't have a weather compensator fitted. Using temperature sensors on flow and return pipes:
Pump set at position 3, flow is around 45C and return about 2C lower.
Pump set at position 1, flow is around 50C and return about 6C lower.
House takes quite a while to heat up and different rooms are at different temperatures. So with the DT so low at the boiler and the rooms not heating well, I thought I'd balance the rads.
The installation/service manual says "Heat the installation to 80C" and check the difference is at 20C between flow and return on both boiler and rads.
To do this it says "set the maximum power on the service panel"
The only parameter i can see that may achieve this is;
Max CH power - this is a percentage and currently set to 75% with a max of 99%
Is it a case of adjusting this % up and the CH temp will eventually get to 80C?
Any help would be appreciated.
