Reports on the news yesterday of 3 convicted criminals given prison sentences totalling 11,000

That's still a long time. He will miss his children children's children's children's children's children's children's children's children (and so on)
growing up. And I can’t see his wife waiting that long for him.

Apparently ?? These massive prison sentences have become common place in turkey since 2004 ?

When they abolished the death penalty ? In an attempt to smooth the way to
Joining the EU ?? ( afaik)
