Got home late last night but managed to quickly disconnect the pump and you are absolutely right, there is another arrow on the head which is pointing the wrong way! Although it looks identical it seems like I have ordered the wrong pump somehow...
Is it possible to unscrew the pump head and turn that in the body of the pump or am I better trying to get the pump to fit upside down somehow?
As you've already been told, undo the 4 allen screws and rotate the head.
I was once called out by Grant to a warranty claim where a new boiler had the same problem. A batch of Grundfos pumps had been supplied to them with a differentiation to the normal one, and the muppets in boiler assembly had installed them backwards.
