Well, having known a few people that have worked in GP's surgeries, I’d say ****ing hundreds. All depends on the greed of the GP. One lady commented to me that they had over 30 patients registered at one address. Of course, that’s not want you want to hear so go ahead and ask for proof that you know is not available....

the problem with the nhs is its over run with tick box paper shufflers. At one stage there was one bureaucrat for every one of the 99000 nhs beds. Also if you import 12.5 million people you just might be putting the service under strain

Thats a fair point, it would be tricky to prove.

There are plenty of inefficiencies in the NHS of course, its a huge organisation, but comparisons with other countries and it fares well.

Ironically many inefficiencies come from underfunding. Staff for example. The NHS cant recruit nurses because of poor pay and low moral, so the NHS rely on agency staff that cost twice as much.
