Hi everyone. A quick question. When you boys plaster, is there a clever way to protect things like adjacent paintwork or UPVC window frames from plaster smears (especially those really thin film ones) , which can be a real pain (no pun intended) to remove after the plaster has set?

The trick is to remove if before it sets. You can run a sharp knife to create an edge, and then scrape it off quite easily, and some bits will wipe off easily with a slightly wet rag. But if the plasterer is too messy, then find a more careful one.
