I seem to recall there were lots of comments about "just stop oil" and other climate protestors holding up ordinary people from going about their business.

I notice that none of those complaining and highlighting all the delays have mentioned anything about all the farmers holding up huge volumes of trafic around the country

If the complaint is about people being held up, then they should condemn theses protests too. I won't hold my breath.

And yes, it has affected me today !

The owner of a chain of pie shops worth three million is equally entitled.

What about the investor who shields £500 million from tax by shifting it out of sewage and into farmland?

It amuses me how people agree with such protests holding people up if they agree, and object strongly to the same type of protests if they disagree.

Either such protests are acceptable, or they aren't. Regardless of the actual protest and/or reason

So it's ok if its a protest you support, but it's not ok if you don't support it?

Makes sense now

I don't support terrorism nor do I support the violent persecution of Jews or the wishes of some Arab countries to destroy Israel.

So for those reasons, I don't support the pro palestinian protests.

I enjoy good quality food, I think the country's food security is important, I have family who are sheep and beef farmers, they work hard for their money. Now they're not directly affected as they lease the land rather than own it but for those that do own the land, it will stop the farms being passed down through generations and lead to the breakup of farms or the forced sale to big business.

So for those reasons, I do support the farmers protests.

So basically, you're correct.
