No, public services need to be good enough and they mostly are, once you account for the impact and backlog of covid.

If you want public services to be the best they can possibly be. You will need to tax the nation to the point we are twice as expensive to hire than the next guy in a lower cost neighbour.

Then you’ll be wondering why there are no jobs.

There has to be balance.
