Isn't it what a lot of farmers voted for ?
Just thought it odd that Odds of all people would be supporting what British farmers wanted - but appear to be anti British farmer.
That exotic blend of 'tobacco' plays with peoples' heads.

again - it appears
my guess
If its such a great tax, lets apply it to all. No tax free allowance everyone pays say 5%. It would net millions for the government to waste.
Not so keen once you have to pay, is my guess.

Redistribution. Hilarious. If you want money you can earn it, it’s not hard.Apart from the facts that I'm not in the position - yet - to be the subject of IHT, nor would I be bothered if I were, you're missing one of the points of taxation.
Redistribution.
Along with funding public services, encouraging or discouraging behaviours, whatever.
There will be some who would baulk at the thought of, and do their damndest to avoid, paying even your hypothetical 5%.
That makes no sense even by your standardsIn your imagination.
You make up your fairy tales to bolster your own sagging confidence in the nonsense you spout.
I'm not lowering myself to your level. However, your small-minded, jealous, bitter sniping at the productive members of society (farmers) isn't a good look.

He accidentally typed "anti-farmer" when he meant "anti-loopholes for rich tax-dodgers"
It’s your choice to earn more or not. I don’t think it’s particularly fair to expect a share of other people’s money because you choose not to earn your own.If you're already well off (even if you didn't "earn it"), you can already keep more of it
Just how much more do you need, or want?
Meanwhile nothing to pay for JohnD again. Everyone else chipping in to pay for services that he’d like for free.He accidentally typed "anti-farmer" when he meant "anti-loopholes for rich tax-dodgers"
