It looks like at the wall switch a wire has been borrowed from the switch in the next room.
Presumably to get the two way system in place, it was hard to get a 3 core+e down the wall, and so a wire (perm live I suppose) was borrowed from nextdoor.
There may or may not be a junction box somewhere, but it's irrelevent really.
Not too sure if the switches ARE wired correctly as pictures don't show this clearly to be sure.
However, if the op says the 2 way does function correctly, it will then be simple to describe how to join the pull switch wires in a junction box in the loft .
As for the wall switch, really needs tidying up. Obvious dangerous things - no grommets, unsheathed wires entering the metal box, no earth connection to what looks like a metal switch faceplate.
