ok so I ain't a plumber i'm an industrial electronics eng, so can sort the electrics, but not so hot on circulation probs ,so sorry if my query is half witted.
My daughters just bought a house with an old lpg central heating system.
The boiler is a 60,000 btu Chaffoteaux. after lightiing the boiler runs for a short time then either reduces flame to v small or just pilot light. Rads do not get hot. Opening sys bypass kicks boiler into life for a short while then it shuts down again. Zone valves work o.k and are open. Suspect pump running slow/knackered and boiler tripping on internal stat so am thinking to replace pump which is an old Grundfoss 150??.
The house is long, so long pipe runs (a lot in 15mm) will bigger size pump give improved flow or just foul up thermal balance....if ther ever was one!!
any help out there???
