putting on paper bag

next I will be hearing "nuns on the run" was a film based on a group of nuns who are actually mafia dons in disguise and chop then bury people as standard.

It was a joke, firstly it has nothing to do with race, secondly it has nothign to do with religion, your Koran doesn't say a woman needs a burka, that was later tagged on ....
Let's be honest here, no woman in her right mind covers herself in a sheet of her own free will.

Talk about skimpy dressing women if you like, they bug the hell out of me too. Don't ever worry about expressing an honest opinion for fear of offending someone. Everyone has the right to say they are offended...they do not have the right to NOT be offended. Essence of free speech.

it would be like me saying something vice versa about women non religious or athiest who like to wear skimpy outfits, there would be outrage

No there wouldn't.....................Fill ya boots.
Well looky here, if it aint the ol inbred little bean,,,,,,Hey boy, I have a mat that been dying to meet your behind, where you been, I thought you
left with your fat mamma

no true it doesnt say that in those terms, but does say a women must cloth herself in "public" in a way that doesnt reveal the womens aura. or bodily shapes or exposes her beauty.

The burkha is the outfit which has eveolved over time and is now the norm and serves those funtions, thats why you dont see all muslim women wearing the same burkha,

nowhere in the bible's does it say nuns should dress that way or monks or bishops nor priests, it doesnt have to say it as somethings were established before revalation such as prayer and customs.

I am not offending you but your ninja comment stinks, and so does the MPs.

as free speech goes, there are limits on what should be said, and in what light and where. we all have opinions but if we all shared them in public there would be mass chaos in this world, we have free speech but should, but to make any speech we really need to use our minds logically, It would be insane to say someone can go round saying what they want when they want and where they want, do you think there would be any peace?

There are a few that cause the majority of the worlds trouble, with arrogance ingnorance greed and lack of understanding.

The words Abu Dhabi sort of spring to mind for understanding ,Saudi for all of the above, and Israel for all of the above and more......
Ho hum
I live with you and am happy, don't try to make me unhappy.

Don't be silly. The mafia are complete political communists in comparison with the nuns

yes they may spring to mind but out of the places you mention isreal seems to have mosttrouble purely because they are trying to establish a homelonad on an already established homeland by the palestinian people

in fact jews are suppose to live in exile and not establish a homeland...so why is isreal the jewsih homeland?

adult debate no dramas:cool:

I am sure america would not like it if nigerians wanted to establsih a homeland starting with where the whitehouse stands lol

Did you know there is a place called Mafia in africa somehwere? :p

Not really the same...considering that the jewish population outdates the muslim by thousands of years...

Using your comparison it would be like Native Americans wanting to establish a homeland in America.

,
Exactly, so saying nuns outfits are dumb is not a religious attack in the same way as me saying Burkas are f*****g dumb isn't a religious attack
I am not offending you but your ninja comment stinks, and so does the MPs.,
Like I have said before, that is your right (to be offended). Noted. Doesn't change my opinion. Just like the uproar about the danish cartoons doesn't change my opinion that the cartoons were pretty funny
as free speech goes, there are limits on what should be said,
...then that is not free speech. Aslong as those words are an honest opinion and are said specifically to insult an individual I don't think there should be any other limit. What is the point of 'free speech apart from when someone may disagree' ??! :?:

ok skitzy, its clear there is no such thing as common sense with you, I think you have a wierd understanding of freespeech, yes we have free speech, that gives no one the right to insult any group,

by the way I did not insult nuns, I used it to show you a point, hopeless really

does the above insult nuns, read again :?:

my right to be offended, which world do you live in and where do these silly rights come from, so it is also my right to be insulted in other words lol

you know these comments do not really bother me as only ignorant people will talk like this

I know you didn't insult nuns...lol, what I am saying is if the clothing has nothing to do with the religion, insulting the clothing is not insulting the religion.
And I am not using my free speech to insult PEOPLE, only insulting a bit of clothing and the idea that it is a good thing.

Yes it is your right to feel insulted and to be offended, this doesn't mean what you think it means, i.e. that it is ok for people to insult you, what it means is it is ok for you to voice your views and state that you are offended...like you have today...but free speech does not mean that we have to censor everything so no-one is ever offended. (We wouldn't need free speech enshrined in law if everyone only said things that everyone else agreed with)

A burkha is a religious garment, so **** taking here is religious hatred.
so insulting this clothing you are expressing religious hatred :D

No it is not my right to be offended, why should I have to be offedned and have to put up with ignorants people, allowing this would only escalate, to saomething like, it is my right to be murdered, if a person wants to excercise free will and kill me rofl :D
And if that was the case I have a right to be offedned I should also have the right to take action, or retaliation and where would that lead??

I agree free speech, but then there are limits on xcercising free speech, get my drift? much like free will lol has its limits

and also just cause something is in the law it doesnt make it right with any amount of debate, there are a lot of laws that are bezerk to say the least.

I think we may be hitting a launguage barrier here.

Firstly, No it isnt a religious garment, otherwise it would be in your koran...unless you are claiming to know more than the prophet of course..as he didn't require women to wear burqas.

Secondly, by having 'the right to be offended' we mean that we have a right to complain that something has offended us.

We do not have the right to demand that anything that offends us is to be stopped.

Of course everyone should be free from being attacked but we are not talking about individuals...we are talking about ideas and concepts..
