Quoting other posts and obtaining a white background.

Can someone let me know how to quote another post and have that post backgrounded with white? I tried to use the Quote facility a while back but it never worked as it is supposed to ie same blue background as my responding post. As I did not wish to anger the purists I did not submit my post. I also cannot find any details in the forum section on this subject. Thanks in advance for your help.

Do as you did before click on quote then just make sure you put your reply after the last quote and bracket,............. [/quote] put your reply here

That cartoon reminds me of a story my dear old Granny told me.

When she was 9 or 10 (in 1912/3) she had to go to the loo in the middle of the night. Got up, went outside, staggered bleary-eyed down the path and sat on the loo, only to find her aunt already there!!!!
