Medium wave fading in and out as I recorded the top twenty on my old Phillips tape recorder ... Blooming 60's ! ;) ;) :D

I used a real to real, with the mic up against the speakers. Had all the top 20's, They were the days.

That was Caroline transmitting on the North sea,from where we got Britain's all greatest DJs Tony blackburn and Dave Lee Travis,Darnit can't find a puke emoticon :)

Nah ... Not Luxy .... 'kin sounded like it came from under a ship at times !

Were all these old radio shows received on one of those cats whisker crystal things (or whatever they were called)? In between the gramophone records, did Marconi come on and recite "Mary had a little lamb" (or was that edison)?? :oops: :evil: :D

No,It was alldone by using empty bake bean cans and string.The volume was controlled by tensioning /untensioning the string
