We have a downstairs shower (Mira Sport) which is no longer required. I'd like to remove the entire assembly (tray, enclosure, shower unit) and I'd like to know, when the shower is off the wall (Power off at the wallboard obviously) what should I do with the feed cable?

The wall will be tiled over to fill the hole, should I put a connection block on the wire ends and bury it or something more permanent? The copper pipe will also be capped as it too will no longer be required. I would either remove the MCB for the shower in the CU or switch it off (Advice on this also required)

I know that the ideal solution would be to fully remove all the cable from the consumer unit to the shower, but I think most of it has been buried in the walls and unable to get it out.

Thanks for any advice.

Disconnect it at the consumer unit and make sure it's cut back so it can't be re-connected at BOTH ends.

It is important to make sure that no person in years to come can reconnect it, so 'just' taking it off the MCB is not enough.
